Hydrolysed whey protein is an very pure form of whey protein. Hydrolysed Whey Protein is made through a process known as hydrolysis, where the protein chains are broken down, or “pre-digested”, into smaller segments via treatment with enzymes. This produces much smaller protein particles called peptides which are easily absorbed in the body. This also means that hydrolysed whey protein has a much faster rate of digestion and absorption. Hydrolysed whey protein is therefore often used to improve the recovery and protein synthesis process needed after a workout.
